I work for people who are operating inside complexity and noticing that decisions have become harder to take than they should be.

When judgement bends under pressure, the cost rarely appears immediately. It accumulates through compromised trade-offs, diluted ownership, overconfident narratives and decisions taken to preserve momentum rather than to face reality. The damage is rarely dramatic. It compounds.

My work centres on exposing weak assumptions, forcing explicit trade-offs and structuring decisions before commitment. I challenge narrative comfort, cut through organisational noise and reconnect strategy with execution when they drift apart.

Advisory and Embedded Work

I also work directly with product leaders and organisations when systems, coordination or tools begin to substitute for judgement.

This includes contexts where data or AI outputs shape direction without sufficient interrogation, where roadmaps exist but uncertainty remains unresolved, or where process has expanded faster than ownership.

Depending on context, this takes the form of advisory engagement or hands-on embedded involvement, including fractional roles.

The work is aimed at restoring decision-making capacity where it has weakened.


How this work differs from more familiar approaches

Many leadership and coaching approaches are designed for situations where the goal is already clear and the system is broadly stable. In those contexts, performance coaching, leadership training or skills development can be effective.

The work I do usually starts earlier than that.

It tends to be useful when the difficulty is not execution, but judgement: when it’s unclear what should be decided, who should decide it, or what responsibility actually means in practice. In these situations, adding frameworks, tools, or confidence often treats the symptom rather than the cause.
